Known Issues: Spelling & Grammar on tips pages Must load MS Agent to view site (causes site to load slow first time - bad for dial-up users) Merlin sometimes does not obey command. This is because he is busy re-cueing the music and fading the volume. If he gets a command when doing this he ignores it. Troubleshooting MS Agent (Merlin) The MS Agent (Merlin) ActiveX is loaded from the
agent.microsoft.com site so if the agent.microsoft.com site is
down the MS Agent will not work. I have added error checking for this type
of problem. If MS Agent is not working correctly try downloading and installing the file
below. Most of these files should already be on most system because a
number of MS products use the Agent software including MS Office. (895K) (SAPI 4.0 for Window XP only not needed for other Windows) (6MB) MS Speech recognition engines (1MB) True Voice (text to speech) (1.8MB) Merlin (927K) Speech control panel (optional) I am not sure which ones you need, you may only need a few are all of them. My site tries to figurer out which ones you need and download only those; this is part of what they call ActiveX technology which works most of the time.
